The Shift 4G is what the OG Evo should have been

It's unfortunate the Evo Shift was released after the original Evo. I've only owned the Shift for about 24 hours now, but I already like it much more than I like the Evo (bought the Evo on release day, June 6, 2010). The only specs where the Evo has the Shift beat are:

Screen size (4.3 vs 3.6)
Camera resolution (8mp vs 5mp) - Really a wash, as pic quality is roughly the same
SD Card size (8 GB vs 2 GB) - Easily replaceable, have a 16GB card in the shift now

But how cool would it have been if the Evo 4G came originally with the second gen snapdragon processor? A 4.3" 262K color screen vs the 65K color screen? Larger ROM capacity? Then, the shift could have received the 1st gen snapdragon, and the lower quality screen.

Not to say the evo was a bad phone. I really enjoyed it, and it has much stronger dev support, but IMO, the shift just has the horsepower advantage, for being the "little" brother.

Wirelessly posted (Htc Arrive: Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; Nexus S 4G Build/GRJ22) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

The only thing that impressed me about the evo shift was slider mechanism. I like the fact it wasn't spring loaded. I notice that the shift was a little slower than the og evo. The physical keyboard is great, the raise buttons seems very durable.

Just my personal opinion, its always always always personal preference so OP enjoy that phone.
