EVO Shift No Data with Airave
I had a Samsung Intrepid - Just got the EVO Shift. I have an Airave at home because reception sucks in my neighborhood and I had major issues with getting bars - went through hell and back with Spring CS - lonnnng story short, they gave me an Airave for free, with no monthly charges because my coverage map shows 4-5 bars of service, but I got none.

Now, Im home. EVO worked great. Went to check email, no data. Couldnt use internet or anything to do with data.

I unplugged the Airave - and boom - emails came in, etc...

Anyone know the scoop with this? Are there specific settings I need t set the EVO to? Thanks!

That's very weird, I know this is the last thing any of us want to do, but did you call Sprint and ask them about it?

I believe that there is now two versions of the Airave...I even tried to get the new one a while back to replace my voice only one.

Yes there are 2 versions.

The 1st one is called the Airave. It does voice only.

The newer one calle Airvanna (I think) does voice and data.

I have an airvanna in my house, currently using the evo shift, but just so you know the 3g internet is only as fast as your home network, so if you have a comcast economy 1mb internet or something similiar, your data is going to blow. but point being it runs fine on my home network, speeds around 1.5-2.5 ish mbs, 7.1mb dsl connection, speedtest.net says i get 4-5 from a pc tho, im not real close to verizon.
