What's the point in upgrading to HTC LTE? Is Wimax going anywhere anytime soon? I have about 200 MB in internal storage space, about 200 MB RAM (with Advanced Task Killer running constantly), and stock Sprint ROM with no more bloatware. I'm very happy I rooted with S-off and don't have the need for any custom ROM's per se.

Am I missing something? Why dump the EVO 4G?

Re: Evo 4G: Rooted (I liiike!), so why upgrade the phone?

Because the phone is a couple of years old now and just about everyone that's on this site or others like it are into rooting their phones and using custom roms and now that the phone is old just about all developers have moved on to newer devices and stopped making roms for the EVO, and some just like to have the latest and greatest.

But what about someone like me who uses the stock ROM and doesn't need ROM support? I'm going to wait until Sprint runs out of the EVO 4G and may use Asurion to get the 4G LTE. LOL. If Wimax is still around.

Re: Evo 4G: Rooted (I liiike!), so why upgrade the phone?

well thats the thing. you don't need to upgrade... lol nobody's forcing you to. why upgrade though? lte? i live in long island, ny... no wimax here. never will have wimax. i've only used it twice in the city and i wasn't impressed. but if lte is going to work here, then yes, that's something my phone can't do. another thing is, what if your phone is breaking lol.. my power button's destroyed. but as long as it works i'll keep the phone.
