How to unlock/root new Evo. What is the best Rom right now?
 

I just got my replacement evo and it is factory sprint. Phone is on Android 2.3.5 and 2.15 kernel.

What is the best way to root the phone.

Also what is currently the best and fastest rom for the Evo.

I am looking for the fastest and most stable rom, so I am assuming that takes away any ICS roms except MIUI.

Very interested in the best Gingerbread rom.

Been away from this for a while so looking to catchup.

depends.. all the gb roms are pretty good, it all depends on what you want. i'm running the stock rom with all the bloat programs removed, and the underworld kernel. i didn't want much of anything so i just uninstalled pretty much everything that i don't use.
