Is there a way to check which version of ClockworkMod was used to create the Nandroid

I screwed everything up by leaving OMJ to try CM7. after not liking it I decided to finally patition my sd card for apps2sd and to go to amon ra since most people say its better. somewhere in the process of all that something got jacked and I ended up with an endless boot loop at the 4G screen. I ended up back in android version 2.1 land thinking I unrooted my phone somehow. I ran unrevoked3 which put me back on clockworkmod 2.6.0.1 and when I try to restore the nandroid back up it says, "nandroid error while flashing boot image". I've read to restore my nandroid backup I have to use the same version of clockworkmod. I downloaded the newest version 3.0.0.5 which gave me the same error. I'm guessing whatever version of clockworkMod I was using was between 2.6.0.1 & 3.0.0.5. Is there any way to find out by exploring the nandroid backup files which version of clockworkmod was used?
