I re-installed, factory wiped, etc... and its not fixed.... I guess I will re-format the sd card, re-flash rom to see if that helps?

I am getting 2 write and 2 read now!

Well, I re-formatted my SD card with Amon-Ra, re-installed the 3.70 Stock ZIP update.

It is still showing as a Class 2 with, now 3 read and 3 write.

Am I missing something?

sounds like you card not a class 4

It was running at class 4 speeds before I ran the hack. It says class 4 on it, and it is slower now.

I am wondering if the speed tester could be wrong?

I built this into the stock kernel, and is included in my latest ROM.....if anyone would like to flash the kernel only, let me know & I'll make a flashable zip....

THANKS for the advice, it helped, however I did not test it outside of the device. (i can not find a tool for the mac that does what I needed)

When I took it out, i stuck in another Patriot 8GB class 4 card. This one goes noticably faster during the test and results in s write speed 9 and read of 16, and shows up as ClassUnknown,


I tried reformatting the original Patriot 8GB Class 4 and it kept showing as a 7 GB card. I rebooted from Snow Leopard to Vista, and Vista only wanted it to be a 6 GB card. I then tried to format it in AmonRA, and it became a GB card. I inserted it into an LG Lotus, which sees with 7.84 GB of free space.

After all of that shuffling around, the original Patriot is now seen as a Class 4 again, and has also acheived a noticable change during the speed check, however nothing even close to the second patriot, I guess the original 8gb will go in a covert video device.
