Thumbs down Seidio battery POS....

I pre-ordered my Seidio 3500mAh battery from http://www.mobilecityonline.com/wire...roductid=26469 when it first came out a year ago and lately the past 3 days it has had serious issues charging to full capacity. Over the past week I have notice it seeming to die faster than normal, yesterday it charged all night and only charged to 70~% and today it charged to a whopping 9%. I keep this phone on the charger while I sleep every night. Nothing has changed software wise in at least a good couple months.

Anybody else with this battery having such issues? It also looks like there is no warranty on these things. You would think there would at least be a 1 year warranty and expect these things to last at least 2 years.

Re: Seidio battery POS....

Why would you expect a battery to last two years?

Why not? Battery life for most devices is 2-4 years. All the phones I have owned their stock batteries have lasted 2-4 years.

Re: Seidio battery POS....

I have the Seidio but I bought the one from Amazon for $12 and am using it now and doing just as well. I keep the Seidio for a backup.

Re: Seidio battery POS....

I definitely would not expect the battery to last any more than a year. If you're anything like the average EVO user, you rape the hell out of your battery every single day. I'm sure you've felt the back of your phone and surprised yourself with how hot it gets.

Also, I've had issues with charging like you've had. It was the ROM I was running at the time. Swapped the kernel out and it was good to go.

Why would the charging issue all of a sudden appear after a month~+ of using that rom?

I'm using Koni's Elite Series III v 2.6.32.17-gee557fd or version 3.70.651.1

Re: Seidio battery POS....

agree that i wouldn't expect more than a year out of a battery, and your lucky as hell if every phone and battery you have had has lasted 2-4 years, most don't even keep a phone that long. Have you tried clearing your battery stats and wiping the cache and dalvik to see if that helped? I would try that.
