text and backup

I just got a brand new evo coming from the touch pro 2 and wanted to know 2 quick things?

1)Is there an option or a program to get the text messages to not be threaded? In other words "classic" style and have the option to not save or show sent messages?

2)is there a way i can import all my info(contacts, saved messages, calendar, etc via pimbackup)to the evo and what would be the evo's backup program going forward?

thanks for your help in advance everyone

#1 answer - not that im sure of .. but you can have it auto delete after so many (user set) messages per conversation.

#2 answer .. no it does not support PIM (there are alot of threads on this)

you can use outlook or gmail to synch with .. best backup is google (and nandroid once rooted)

Try using sprite migrate to move your contacts over. Once you're done, you can sync them to google and then edit them using your gmail account.
