Evo: 2nd Gen?

I heard from one of my boys that a 2nd Gen Evo might be out? His Sprint guy that runs the area for Sprint sales told him this. Anyone else hear this? Am assuming is either a worldphone Evo (sim card slot) or a Evo with the bleep(NDC). But then am calling it BS.

Re: Evo: 2nd Gen?

I would think its a little early for a 2nd gen but you never know with these companies. I do know the Epic is coming out at the end of this month but thats Samsung.

Re: Evo: 2nd Gen?

It is possible the "2nd Gen" Evo is the normal Evo with some fixes

Yeah but not by the Evo2 lol that wont happen till next year and yes it will happen. The Evo was a huge phone so you better believe it will have its replacment just like the touch pro. And the Evo was born outdated lol things just move so quick these days.

Re: Evo: 2nd Gen?

I posted this on another site, but my buddy that works doing reverse logistics for sprint said they're now going to use "AUO" screens on the 30,000 Evos they just got in at his office....and the next 5,000 lcd's will be from Sharp....maybe its related to a new hardware version

Re: Evo: 2nd Gen?

they changed the lcd header on the mobo to accept more options when it comes to display manufactures so they can get some of these things built. other then the header its the same hardware.
