Nandroid to Official OTA Froyo

If i have the leaked copy of froyo, and my wife has the official, cant i make a nandroid backup of hers and copy it to my sd and get the official that way?

Because you can just install the zip?

Start a clean backup and post it on here..... I cant wait on HTC....

if you drop the backup in the nandroid folder on the sd card, you should just be able to do a nand restore.

Scratch that... guess you HAVE to be rooted. dont think the update.zip method will work
