clockwork recovery.....cant flash...wth????
So according to c:evo-recovery/adb-Windows shell....I am (#) rooted......however when I try to flash clockwork recovery from within the app itself it tells me there is a problem with permissions......anyone???? This is my first go with Android, pretty lost at the moment honestly......all I wanna do is be rooted, flash roms, and be able to tether stealthy.....any help would be greatly appreciated .......

You need to have a ROM with the super user permissions program to grant that program super user permissions. I had the same issue yesterday

Connect your phone with USB debug enabled and run this:

c:\evo-recovery\adb-windows shell
reboot recovery

Then load a rom that has the super user permissions ninja icon

Don't know about you but I'm generally asleep between 1am and 8am. Its not like people stay up all night answering questions some of us do need sleep.

I was just about to say make sure when you enter the commands in adb, if you have superuser on your phone keep it awake while you do it. When you enter the SU command itll pop up a box on your phone to accept permissions for the command.

i have the same problem.. i can flash clockwork recovery 2.0.1.3 but cannot flash any newer version. i tried on OMJ ROM 1.7 and 1.8
