I'm probably NOT going to update since I have FULL root and am already running the currently MOST stable Froyo ROM out there now. Yes, the camera and BT is still broken...but I have a NAND backup of a fully functional 2.1 ROM for camera work.

NOW...the battery performance from 2.2 to 2.1 is so much better I'm not sure where to begin. I can leave the house with a full charge...and NOT charge again until before I go to sleep...(usage..moderate text, gmail push, espn scorecenter push, engadget widget push, news/weather push, 30 mins of talking on the phone, moderate internet usage, and at least an hour of messing with the phone and settings) I am at 30-40% when I plug in at night.

That alone is worth me NOT updating to any official ROMs that Sprint/HTC puts out. I didn't do it for the Mogul, TP OR TP2...not gonna start now.

So you have to do a backup and go back to 2.1 just to take a pic? Damn that ill stick with 2.1 until they get a fully functional one working.

Correct. It is only an assumption. I honestly think that the update is going to fix the three things listed and that's it.

Honestly, I'm coming from years and years of using Windows Mobile.

One thing I love about this phone is that I can just use stock and it works perfectly to me. So, I'll be doing the update.....
..... until I need my tethering fix, then its root time.....

I already have a backup...I just have to do a restore of the nand backup that's already there...I keep both ROMs setup the way I want...I can swap back and forth. It is not very smooth...but its a trade-off I'm willing to deal with

but what exactly is "wifi enhancement". if it's N, thanks to xda we already have it...so who cares.

true, buy if you use the enable N wifi zip, then doesn't that break the camera? Where the update from Sprint would work along with the camera, and then if the wifi enhancement is N, then that also.

No, you're thinking of the FPS display issue.

Downloading update now.

Update: I have noticed a extra bar when it comes to WiF. I am about 30 feet from my router (in a diffrent room) and I have two out of three bars.
