Anyone disassemble to repair screen...

Has anyone taken apart their Evo to repair the screen? I just applied a zagg screen protector and some water leaked under the screen from the side. Phone works fine but you can see water stains when the screen turns white. No water indicators tripped. Has anyone taken apart their phone to dry the area between screen and digitalizer? Wondering if it would work. Sealed in dry rice didn't do anything after 3days. Looking for a faster method before I take it back to the RS or contact Ausurion. Any advise would be helpful...

Re: Anyone disassemble to repair screen...

Can someone provide me with the link where I can order the replacement screen. Mine is cracked pretty badly. I dropped it unfortunately. And while it still works I would rather fix it then look at a shattered screen. I saw some items on ebay but wasnt sure if that is what I am looking for. It didnt say replacement screen.

Re: Anyone disassemble to repair screen...

I don't understand putting a screen protector on this phone. It won't stop the screen from breaking, and the screen is already virtually scratch-proof. Anything that would scratch it would surely rip through a screen protector. A Body Glove, IMO, is of a lot more use.

Re: Anyone disassemble to repair screen...

actually the screen protector does help reinforce the glass. acts as a lamination layer. im not sayin it keep it from cracking, but a rubber silicone case/screen protector can save you. what u got to lose? o yea, ur phone.

and virtually is correct, but Ive been thru 2 screen protectors and my screens flawless because it.
