Stream music to EVO from home PC
A search didn't turn up this app, so I thought I'd share...
HomePipe has a free version in the marketplace, let's your stream iTunes, MP3s and other files to your phone. :) I saw it on Engadget before launch. Just got around to installing. I have a crap-ton of tracks at home so this is nice when I don't feel like using Pandora... You can also access your "mystuff" page from any other computer by signing into your account. I think there are a few others out there, but this has worked well for me so far... |

Re: Stream music to EVO from home PC
I wonder if we'll ever see a TVersity app for Android. I already have my PC set up to stream media using TVersity to my Xbox 360 and PSP. Would be nice to also have support for my phone without having to add more software.

Re: Stream music to EVO from home PC
Evo wouldn't open 3gp via Winamp remote for streaming movies.... hallelujah for the flash option... lovin' it. I tried homepipe, but I like an app/server called SUBSONIC. it's neato. http://www.subsonic.org

Re: Stream music to EVO from home PC
I've always used Gmote for streaming my files from my laptop's external drive to my Hero and it works just as well with my EVO.
I may give this one a try. Always good to have options! |
Re: Stream music to EVO from home PC
There is also dropbox for cloud storage... free 2GB.
