texting on voice mail

Love the evo, but I can no longer receive texting by voice mail. When someone called me before they could hit the 2 key and send me a page. THIS IS A MUST for me. When someone hits the 2 key now it says this option is not available. What can I do to get this back?

Thanks

You're going to need to call Sprint or someone who knows more about the new Voicemail system. Since Android uses Visual Voicemail you got moved over to the new system. I have never called in and have my voicemail set to go to google talk so I'm not sure what a person would have to press now.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.1-update1; en-us; Sprint APA9292KT Build/ERE27) AppleWebKit/530.17 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/530.17)

Had the same issue, one of my customers was telling to put that feature back on. Then I realised how easy it is to view vm so I told him vm's now act like text messages

Yeah a text message alert really isn't necessary anymore with the visual voicemail. I use Google Voice so I'm not sure about the Stock VM but with Google you can view a transcript and also listen to it all from one page, same with youmail.
