Root + OverclockWidget = Insane Battery Life 40+ Hours - Page 2

I don't have an EVO but I wonder how this works with say..playing music? cause 200mhz should be plenty to play music or does it not underclock during tasks....

cause if it can go 30 hours of none stop music that would be cool....

No instructions on that site. I dl the file then what ?

After you root then you download the "Overclock" widget from the market place. Then edit your settings in the widget.

Thanks for the tip OP! I personally like SetCPU more than OverclockWidget; just throwing it out there for anyone interested in looking at options in CPU clocking programs.

Install the file you downloaded... use a file manager or an app like appinstaller from the market.

I'm going to give this a test tonight. I have taken my phone off the charger the last two nights and in the morning I have lost about 20% of my battery. If this really is making a difference I'd expect that to at least be cut in half. I'll report back tomorrow on the results.
