I find it strange that...
Some of the apps like wifi sharing from the market installs fine, but just don't work.
I ended up downloading a apk file from a link here (pre 2.x) and it works fine now. What's going on here?

What is happenig is not all roms work same app like that. May be kern some have been app2sd that stopped app from working. OMJ had to remove apps2sd because teter would not work on 3g
