Any ideas?
I have no idea what unrevoked does. Sounds like you have the phone rooted, but you haven't done any of the other steps.
Try following my directions from the 1st post and do the Recovery.
That should work.

On ppcgeeks, you'll find the roms in the CDMA HTC Evo 4G Upgrades section.
I don't know how to install apps to the sd card. I've installed over 20 apps and have never seen an option for selecting a location.

I suppose you can remove the file from your sd card. However, I don't know of anyway to get into recovery mode other than using the "recovery-windows.bat" from the pc.

I have not been able to tether through Wifi or USB so far.

Re: Rooting and Flashing EVO Instructions for super n00b's on PC's

Like a dumb @ss I installed the OTA on Monday but last night I still was able to root using Toasts method and the above instructions. I'm thinking about going back to stock though because I'm missing the 4g, I live in ATL and we have it.

Sorry for the slow response. After rooting, you still get the message I believe. Honestly, I don't remember.

As far as I know, if you do accept the OTA update, you can still use the unrevoked site to root. I thought they made it so you can root even if you did the update.

What step are you on? Is there any chance the phone is off?
