backup your sd card then format and try

I'm holding Vol Down and hitting the power button but I still can't find my HBoot Version, I'm on OTA 2.3. What am I not doing?

Just got my E4G delivered to me and it has:

hboot 2.16.0001
radio 2.15.00.05.02
build mar 8 17:02:15

Anyone know how long it typically takes for the good guys to figure out a root method?

Lost my Rooted EVO last weekend on motorcycle trip. So I used insurance and got another EVO. Stupidly did the OTA update. Now my HBOOT is 2.16.0001....I'm screwed for now aren't I? This thing is so slow without a custom ROM on it.

Currently, there is no way to root if you have HBOOT 2.16
