Re: EVO 4G user manuals posted

Thanks. I usually don't read manuals and just learn the phone on the fly, but I need something to keep me occupied until 7 am Friday.

Re: EVO 4G user manuals posted

Thanks OP!

It might as well as be 5 days away, just knowing that in less than 22 hours I will have an EVO.

Re: EVO 4G user manuals posted

In the Evo manual it says that you can install third party application (Page 36 of http://support.sprint.com/global/pdf...htc_evo_ug.pdf)... does this mean that for most people rooting does not need to be done unless you are flashing a custom rom? Or am I misreading this?

No rooting to install 3rd party if they say it will install on the version of Andriod you have. Just have to watch out for those apps that want too much access to your phone that does not need to.

Me too. I'm only going to read this so I can see more images and keep busy until tomorrow.

Re: EVO 4G user manuals posted

I like how the getting started guide advises you to turn off 4G when not in use to save battery. Must be a juicer then. We shall see. lol

i hear the battery is average at best for 3g... so 4g is going to definitely kill it quickly. i bet it lasts half the time if used with 4g.
