Yes it is................all you have to do is remove the GSM radio inside the phone and replace it with a CDMA radio and you're all set to go!!!!!!

Simple answer is no, none work.

They look the same because they all have HTC Sense skins, but that's like making your Mac Desktop look like your Windows Desktop with the same wall paper, it's just looks. The Operating System is different.

You will have to find similar programs written for Android.

There's an app I use on my Touch Pro (w/ WinMo) that I'd love to use on Android. It's called Torch Button. It allows you to use the flash/light on your phone as a "flashlight." It's awesome for those moments where you don't have a regular flashlight around, but need to find something in the dark. Anything like that for Android?

Yes, there are a few different options in the Market.

To use another phone manufacturer's quote, with android, "There's an app for that!" ;)

But, other than the flashlight app, are there any other apps that you are looking for? There are 38K apps in the market, so what you need is probably available.

Except for no app to play WMA Streams.

I had three WM smartphones. Currently I have a Android Samsung Moment. Android Blows away winmo in ever single aspect.. bar none. Yes, I had many many custom roms for my smartphones.

This only shows a few of the most popular apps.

http://www.android.com/market/

For a comprehensive, up-to-date list of the thousands of titles that are available, you will need to view Android Market on a handset. (copied from the link above)

Wow. I am aware they are WM streams but a BlackBerry runs them just fine, palm runs them just fine. Im sorry, just bitter that I cant listen to my local radio stations cause they all run off of a WMA stream.

Re: Evo 4G question

How does the facebook app (if any) compare to the WinMo version?

tokuzumi 04-21-2010 04:37 PM

Re: Evo 4G question

The only thing I've noticed about the Facebook app, is you can't send private messages through the Android app. I think with the WM app, you can. I haven't used the WM app since October 2009, so I'm a little fuzzy on anything else.

Thanks alot for the replys guys!. The program im looking forward to work on the Evo 4G is a program called, "MagiCall".

Thats the best call-blocking program that ever came out. What ever you want it to do, it does it. I was wondering if Droid will support it?

The Sense UI on the Hero has the ability to allow a call from a contact go to straight to VM. From there, you can just delete the voicemail. Not sure about blocking SMS, though. I think you can set that up by sending a code, via text, to sprint.

HTC would need to build a CDMA variant of the HD2 for Sprint (not a HD2 for Verizon). That is the only way to get the HD2 on Sprint, short of Sprint changing up their network to GSM, which is not going to happen anytime soon, if ever.

There are quite a few call blockers for Android that function much like Magicall, some of which are even free. I use GBlocker from Guardam which works very well and only costs $3.00. More info here.

You know.....some people like to block calls and text because when they are out on a date and don't want someone blowing up their phone line! Or if they are talking to someone on the side and the get home and don't want that person calling them aroung they're other!

Than some people have bill collectors they want to X out too........so there are a lot of different reason why someone would want to do that..............but yeah......I would assume most of them are because of drama!!!!!!!!:)

I use one on my work phone because I give that number to vendors and partners, but don't necessarily want their calls at 2am on a Wednesday when I am sleeping or a Saturday afternoon when I am with my family.

um why not just put it on silent mode then?

You guys do realize android comes with call blocking already built in? if you create a contact, when you go to options you have the option to send that person directly to voicemail.
