"Stable" GPS

Hello friends!

Thanks for such a warm welcome to this group. I can't believe no one had taken "Spector" yet. For all those interested, I am the true "Spector" and all others are usurpers!

On to my question. I am new to the "mod" scene and have tried a few (Cyanogen 6, 7, "nightlies", First Blood) I can't seem to find one with a stable GPS. Sometimes they work intermittently or not at all. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to keep tring diffrent mods? I'm going to try Dark Horse next.

Thanks

Re: "Stable" GPS

This is for Deck's Gingerbread ROM (similar to CM7) and you're going to need your MSL

OPTIONAL: Nandroid backup your current ROM
Flash to sense ROM
On the sense dialer, type ##GPSCLRX# enter msl and wait for the phone to reboot

After reboot, people have recommended to get a lock in maps. Then you can flash a new AOSP rom or nandroid backup to the one you had. This should fix the problem and should only be a one time thing (You may have to do this again later later)

GOOD LUCK!!!

Re: "Stable" GPS

This fix works a day or so for me, then it craps out. Shame really.
