Is an on-screen switch-camera button possible??

I don't know if anyone's looked in to it... but a tweak, patch, or something that adds an on-screen switch-camera button would be killerrr... c'mon ppl, let's no let the iphone4 win on that one! is it even possible??

there is a program in the market that is called "mirror.. something, smothing..." i dont really remember... basically it turn your cam to the front one so u could use it as a mirror.
i know its not exactly what u mean... but there is something there.

oh..I meant switch camera like from the rear 8mp camera to the front 1.3mp camera... like adding a software button somehow in between the capture button and the shortcut to the gallery from within the camera app. I know on my palm pre, there was a patch at one point that added a shutter sound on/off button to the camera app.. hmm.....

Not sure how or what program it was...but on the cyanogen mod nightly builds....the camera has a switch on screen from front to back and vice versa

if somebody could find the camera apk from the cyanogen build i can attempt to port it over. is it a 2.1 or 2.2 build?
