Sprint 2600 Extended Battery

When I got my EVO in November I also got the Sprint 2600 Extended life battery. It's worked great up until the last couple of weeks now that I seems to die quicker than usual. I use to be able to get almost 2 plus days out of it. Now I'm lucky to get a day and a half. Example. Yesterday 10/15 I took my phone off the charger. This morning I woke up with 41% and not more that 30 minutes later it drops to 24% just being in my pocket. Has anyone elses battery been acting up? The only thing usage wise that has changed is adding a Bluetooth headset for Christmas, but I shut off the bluetooth when I'm not using the headset. Any ideas?

I checked that and nothing looked out of the ordinary that would kill it.

Re: Sprint 2600 Extended Battery

Take it to a Sprint service location and have them test it on their cadex machine. Ask them to "prime" it.

If the battery is still draining quickly after that, it may indicate something in the software is causing the drain.

Re: Sprint 2600 Extended Battery

Well I finally got a chance to take my EVO to the repair store and sure enough the battery was bad. They swapped it on the spot and was out of the store in less than 15 minutes. God I love Sprint.

how do i tell if its sleeping or not? I just hit the power button to shut it off (not the hold and full power off). Is there something else I'm supposed to do to put it to sleep?
