Cracked Screen E3D

Hope every one had a good Christmas.

Mine, not so good. Dropped my Evo 3D and cracked the screen so bad, it aint even funny.

Anybody know where I can get a screen replaced cheap. Or where I can order a screen from?

After the holiday shopping, etc, I can't pay the Asurion deductible right now plus I don't want a replacement that I may not be able to root just yet. And I didn't know, they did away with the in store Tech's doing screen replacements for $35 bucks.

Re: Cracked Screen E3D

Thanks for the sites. I acyually found those sites already but you're right. More expensive than Asurion. except for 1. But I might as well get a whole phone with box and everything it comes with.

But I did find the replacement screen on Amazon. I will order today and do the repair myself.

Just be sure to watch some videos like 20 Times.

I ruined my LCD once because I.didn't change the screen right..
I blame the video I watched tho lol

That video had a pre opened phone and they had already removed a strip of tape from the LCD that was connecting it to the original screen.

If only the Sprint repair center still replaced your screen for only $35. The good ol days! There's a place in my town that will replace it, just don't know how much. Its called retech. I remember some phones only cost $60. But now they are more sophisticated. Good luck on doing it yourself. Post pictures if you can after you do it. By the way, how did you break it? It is gorilla glass after all.

Re: Cracked Screen E3D

Cracked screen can easily made another time and for the care of new screen stick an screen protector on the screen due to which sand and other hard particles do not stick to the screen.

Re: Cracked Screen E3D

Just an update...

I totally screwed up my 3D trying to replace screen. Luckily for me, my Tech buddy at the sprint Store simply ordered me a replacement. And luckily it was Hboot 1.40 so I'm still (EASILY) rootable. So I'm back up and running and rooted.
