New EVO3d user here

Well at last! I got a HTC EVO3d from sprint to use it with my CDMA mex carrier. Just like my old HTC diamond.

This is my 1st android experience really do not know anything about it except that is a "free" coded.

I want to root it to get the best performance posible from it.

Another thing i do nokt now is how to enter the config menu like the old diamond where you can change the PRL, network settings and all that stuff

thanks in advance for anyone that cant point me in the right direction

Your gonna have to wait to root. At least if you don't want htc knowing you rooted it. Just wait. I had my evo 3d for a year and really didn't need to root it. The phone is great stock. Only reason to root now is better battery life, roms without carrier iq, and wireless tether. Right now my phone is not rooted since it was replaced by repair center so I'm waiting for the root for 1.50 through revolution. If you don't know what that is just Google it. Either way this phone is great but if I were you I'd look at the epic 4g touch if you can afford to pay the difference in price if not then its still a good choice.

I think his phone us too new to root the revolution way. Most new phones have the new hboot that can only be unlocked via htc site which you do not want. I myself can't wait till revolution gets on it. Also the site www.goodandevo.net will help.

Re: New EVO3d user here

Juice Defender. I get 1.6x average battery life with it.

Compared to my 4G extended battery, the 3D battery blows.
