Re: 4 GB internal???

its just the way the capacities are listed. usually they are rounded up. just like your memory cards. I havent had one thing.. harddrive, sd card, ram that listed say 4gb and it was actually 4gb total. its usually more like 3.75 or 3.8 something like that this is no different. they can say 1gb because thats the closest estimate vs 512. they are always in whole numbers after you pass 512mb but are rarely exactly what they say on their label close but usually slightly under

442+361 = 803. 197MB is being used by the OS and Sense and is not user definable (meaning you can't retrieve it). 803 + 197 = 1GB. This is as simple as I can put it.

This is RAM we are talking about, not storage like an SD card, or an HDD.

Re: 4 GB internal???

The real issue here is how the hell can the ROM be 3GB??

I have NEVER seen a ROM over 350mb for any phone ever and they actually fill 3GB or the NAND with the ROM?

This really doesn't make any Sense...

Ok well the only other explanation I can think of is the rest that we don't see is dedicated to the gpu and cannot be accessed by us or any other running processes therefore it isn't listed
