Can't send text while on a call?

I'm currently on the phone with Sprint support and trying to txt a friend. It's not going through.

Error:
Unable to send message (red exclamation point)

Is anyone else having this problem?

a lot of times when you are on the phone with sprint the will not except incoming calls too.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Are you trying to send a regular text or mms? A regular text will send just fine but you will need data to send mms.
