Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here

I just finish my battery test from above.

HTC Battery: 199 mins
OEM Battery: 150 mins

Both batteries are rather new and been thru a few deep recharge.

I dont think I got a 1000 mAH battery right? Perhaps a 1500 mAH OEM battery?

Batteries are cheap. I dont think seller would want to con/dup you for a few dollars. I cant justify buying a HTC battery for $20 or $30 ??? That is crazy!

I don't know enough to guess at your mAh on the OEM battery. I did a sitcker pull on mine and saw it said 1000 mAh. When I told the seller through negative feedback, they immediately issued a full refund ($7.95) on my account and apologized. Then they asked me to take back the negative feedback so it doesn't stick on their record and they can sell more.

My OEM batteries lasted between 1/3 - 2/3 of the battery that came with my phone. The one that came with my phone lasts about 6-8 hours with moderate data use, some GPS, a couple phone calls, and lots of texting.

Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here

I thought people who claimed they were getting over 24 hours on their phones weren't using it or they were lying. Even when tweaking many things to reduce battery consumption I couldn't get much past 12 hours.

I average around 3 bars at home although the phone doesn't always lock on.

I got an airave - and as long as I'm using the airave I get about 32 hours with a good amount of use on my phone. Funny thing is, I notice it still doesn't always lock on to the airave even when near it but now instead of going from 3 bars to 0 bars it goes from full bars to 3 (when roaming from the airrave to the normal tower).

All in all, the battery life on this thing sucks coming from the TP2 and Evo, Luckily I have 3 OEM batteries from China.

Yes it does suck. I even got an app install to kill it when I turn off the screen.

If I am outside, I even turn off my 4G. I never turn off wifi or BT unless i am using it.

I dont mind changing the battery. The cover at the back needs a finger nail to open it.

Re: Post your battery life on the EVO 3D here

I've installed all the stuff they say on xda which is Juice Defender and SystemPanel (paid version). So far it has been better, but now I have to test it out on the OEM batteries. Taking off the back is a struggle at times, I feel like I am going to break it...LOL

I feel the same way. Hopefully the plastic is strong enough to last. I also installed juice defender and it definitely helps. Haven't tried system panel though. Will give it a shot and see if I can get even better battery life.

I see that the OEM battery does not come close to the original battery. Juice Defender does make a big difference and all SystemPanel does is let me know what is running and taking power from the phone. You may not need to buy it. I just wanted to see if there was an app that went rogue and was draining the battery, but I found out that there was not anything special going on so it felt like a waste of money.
