I am going to guess the renewel fee.

Me...I purchased one from wirefly at $149.99 and another for $179.99, so so far I have spent $329.98. There was an activation fee, but no taxes or shipping. I also got $140 contract renewal credit, bring my cost so far to $189.98 for two phones (notice that that is still way less than buying ONE phone at Sprint). I still need to sell my phone and my wife's phone on either craig's list or ebay etc which I could easily see getting $100 a piece.

Re: What's the cheapest you got you EVO 3D for from Sprint?

I would suggest wirefly or target wireless. Amazon is on backorder last I knew (a few days ago) and I would imagine most other well known retailers (BB/RS) are as well or there will be a hellatious line to deal with, plus if you buy in a store you will have to pay taxes that are based on the MSRP, not the cost with a plan. Buy online and pay no taxes and likely no shipping...but get it a few days later than everyone else. I don't expect to see mine before next Wednesday, but I am perfectly fine with that considering the prices I paid (the only thing better than getting something you really want is getting it for a great price...I think I see why women like to shop clearance and sales rofl)

Re: What's the cheapest you got you EVO 3D for from Sprint?

I used the email Sprint sent me yesterday (Premier) and ordered the EVO 3D online. My confirmation receipt lists the price like this:

HTC EVO 3D (24 month contract) $549.99
$150 Upgrade Discount -$150.00
$200 Instant Savings -$200.00

Subtotal $549.99
Total Instant Savings -$350.00
Total Monthly Charges $ 0.00
Shipping Free
Estimated Tax $ 19.60
Total One-Time Charges $219.59

Hope this helps the debate with price/tax/etc.

It seems that they taxed you after the discount? I am hoping that's the case when I go to buy. I wish I could have ordered online, but with the SERO plan my options are pretty much limited to in-store purchase

Cool, I hope the tax was on the discounted price. I setup an order online and took it as far as I could without buying and it told me the estimated tax was about $20 as well. However, I then read here that tax was on the MSRP and I assumed that it would change later.
