Supposedly Viable Work Around to Battery-Life Issue.

A few places are reporting that there is a work around for the Incredible battery issue. It's not a permanent fix; however it's workable and a lot of people are reporting that it works.

The issue lies with the phone not completely charging the battery. To trick it you can perform the following:

-After charging the battery, unplug the charger and turn the phone off.
-Then after the phone has completely shut down, plug in the charger again.

The battery will continue to charge for another 20-30 minutes before the indicator goes green. Some people are reporting that they can do this a couple times to get even more life.

It's definitely something HTC will need to address, but for now at least you can shimmy your way around it.

i can vouch for this. heres what i did:

-drained phone till it died
-plugged phone in until green
-unplugged, plugged back in until green
-repeated above again
-then turned the phone on

i keep data off, and don't use bluetooth, wifi, gps....kind of a light user, haha. but none the less it lasted 110hrs on time, with 2 hrs of use time. that use time consisted of about 45 mins of phone calls, 30 mins of market, and about another 45 mins of games. it was still at 30%. lets just say i was impressed! my tp2 could never have touched that life and i used it the same way.

like i said, i am a light user. but it is amazing to have that kinda battery life on a smart phone even when not used that much!

Hmmm. I've been doing something similar that works for me. I just charge it when it is off. I did this 3 days ago and I'm doing right now. But with moderate use, I got 3 days off the last charge I did this way.

I will try unplugging and then plug back in with the phone off to see if I get more juice, though.

Edit: Using my old Imagio battery, 1500 mah

Cooling, I see you did the same as me. Went to the incredible from Imagio. You helped me a bunch with that thing. I still owe you. By the way i LOVE this phone. I was affraid at first it wouldn't be able to do everything the WM can. But it does. The speed is off the hook. I just wish it was as easy to get into things. WM has much more settings and adjustabiltiy. but i love this phone. Still learning though (the not being able to close apps is killing me but they say "we don't have to and that android does it for us) old habbits are hard to break.

by the way, i do the same thing as you. Rather than shut off and unplug a bunch of times just charge while off and you get the full 100%
