HTC weather not updating
 

I hope I'm not alone in this (then someone could know the answer). I have noticed my stock HTC weather app will not automatically update any more.

I noticed it after the update HTC sent out (don't know if they are connected, just trying to give all the facts). I have stopped and started the Incredible, activated and re-activated the widget numerous times.

After going into settings and turning on auto updates I can back out and go back in and it is not checked. I can't get it to activate and stick.

Anyone?

Now you are opening a bag of worms haha. I don't know why the auto upate won't stick. Long story short , accuweather's servers go down daily somewhere . They are a joke. This morning my phone wouldn't update to the correct temp. I noticed my Imagio had the same problem. So I cut on my netbook ( has accuweather widget on screen) and it was wrong also. So they were probably having server problems.
Run your GPS on google maps and get your location blinking and then try your weather updater again. That helps sometimes. IF not ,set the weather to the closet city to where you live and see if it updates. IF nothing works , there is always the dreaded hard re-set haha. Might just be a temp thing.

Someone in another forum just posted this:

Go into Settings->Accounts & Sync and make sure the Auto-sync box is checked. I was having the same problem and that seemed to fix it.

Seems to at least make setting weather to auto sync stick, time will tell if it completely solves the problem.

We can only hope all these glitch answers are as simple. LOL

I'm still a bit in customization withdrawl, but still loving the Incredible!!

It is 9:05 ,dark,and 67 degrees. Accuweather on my phone still has the sun up and 73 degrees. Their servers suck.

So far so good! I have had reliable updates all day, so I guess my problem was as easy as a setting changing with the update.

I have seen reports that the VZW data feeds have been kinda sketchy as of late, so I guess maybe that is what your getting.

It's back to normal now.
