Does the INC have a mouse???
 

Does the Incredible have the option for the d-pad to function as a mouse like my old Omnia? I hated that phone, but I loved the optical mouse.

The Incredible have an optical mouse. I love it! I use it a lot.

you're saying the incredible does have a mouse? i've just gotten mine and have not found a mouse option. i did like that feature on the omnia. wanna give me some directions on where that might be? please and thank you :)

It's not a literal mouse pointer like you're thinking, that's pretty much a rarity and even a bit silly on a touch screen. What the Incredible has is an optical track pad at the bottom on the front face.

yes i know about the optical joystick, i just didn't fully get what the last person was talking about. i thought maybe i missed a feature somewhere. you might find a mouse 'a bit silly on a touch screen' but i happen to think it was very useful on my last touch screen and used it quite often...

I agree with the above poster, I was confused as well... The optical trackbar is the closes thing youll come to having a mouse....unless you leave out some cheeze :blackeye:

the only time I use that optical trackpad is when scrolling between letters which makes it easier than trying to use your finger to go back and correct a typo in a text. I agree, it is the closest thing to a mouse but have to admit, I really like it!

I use mine a lot more than I used the mouse on my Omnia. You can cut/ paste with it, edit text and it beats the snot out of trying to change 1 word in a sentence or 1 letter in a word by touching
