SD Card Access

Can the SD card be accessed through Sync, Im coming from Windows and thinking you can access the SD card like on a windows Phone . Am I thinking wrong, I never see my SD card when in sync. When not in sync i can see the Available space on SD card in Setting. But when in Sync it does not show the Available Space

sorta, except you don't have to use any programs to access it
you just go to "My Computer" and it will show up as its own drive

make sure you choose "Disk Drive" when you connect via USB
HTC Sync won't work in this fashion

but you access the 8GB storage this way also

you can also use HTC Sync to take screenshots natively via the Android SDK
