Re: Manila 2.5 Stability?

OMJ's is almost perfect, text has problems, if it weren't for the text problems it would be a perfect ROM.

Re: Manila 2.5 Stability?

Manila 2.5 has been pretty stable for me so far.

The recommended procedure for flashing is to hard reset, flash SHIPPED (not stock), flash new ROM, then Clear Storage using 1234.

Thanks for the info!
I've heard enough to try it.

Re: Manila 2.5 Stability?

Only problem being that not all Shipped Roms are available. I have not seen one for the Bell Canada as yet.

I use the stock rom for bell
then flash a custom rom
then do a hard reset (after custom rom is installed)

Seems to be working good for me

Re: Manila 2.5 Stability?

I have always flashed bell stock before any custom rom and haven't had any problems yet with flashing.

Re: Manila 2.5 Stability?

I flash stock, then flash custom, and don't have any issues. I never hard reset because its a pain to move everything off internal storage then back on. Practically speaking, this works fine.

as for 2.5, right now the best rom you can get I'd say is OMJs brand new 28002 (just came out last night)

Energy ROM is good too, and I've heard good things about Fox ROM.

Thanks for explaining the difference between shipped and stock MrObvious. I was curious about that.

You are aware that a hard reset doesnt erase your internal storage, right?

yeah i read "hard reset" and my brain cells computed "clear storage"

be that as it may it seems to me to be an unnecessary step as I've personally never had problems flashing roms other than just flashing stock, then flashing custom, and if it seems annoying to flash shipped, then flash my preferred radio, then flash a rom, etc... I don't see why you'd have to flash shipped as opposed to flashing stock when changing custom roms.
