Bluetooth keeping phone powered on?

I have a Sprint Diamond flashed with Mighty Rom 4.

I noticed that the phone intermittently the phone will not automatically poweroff when a bluetooth headset is connected.

It seems kind of random. It happens more with my Plantronics 855 headset then a Plantronics 510 or Samsung WEP 870.

The Plantronics does have A2DP, but so does the samsung. I tried reseting my Diamond and it still happens with this particular headset. The screen dims but the phone never seems to power off on its own.

Anyone experiences this or no why this might be happening?

Re: Bluetooth keeping phone powered on?

Ok.. so here is the interesting thing or wierd thing...

If I don't have a bluetooth headset connected then the phone dims at 10 seconds and powers off at 40 seconds like I have in the settings. Doesn't matter if the phone is sitting on a desk or if I am holding it shaking around.

If I have a bluetooth headset connected (Plantronics 855, Plantronics 510 or Samsung WEP870), then the phone will dim and power off as above if the phone is sitting on a desk.

If I have the phone in my hand and it is shaking around with bluetooth connected, then it dims, but never powers off.

Is there something in the sensors of the phone that would keep it powered on?

This is just strange.

Re: Bluetooth keeping phone powered on?

Can anyone else at least verify whether their diamond does the same thing? Connect a bluetooth headset and see if the phone dims and then powers off with the phone sitting on a table vs. shaking it around.

Re: Bluetooth keeping phone powered on?

Plug it in. Actually if you go in power options you can turn the screen power off option to unchecked.

Re: Bluetooth keeping phone powered on?

I want to have it power off. I just don't know why it doesn't sometimes.
