Alltel Diamond WORKING SMS/MMS cab!!
 

After many countless hours of finding a fix to get MMS working on my Alltel Diamond, I finally found a cab that worked!! Follow the simple instructions to get it to work :)

1. Download the .cab
2. Install the .cab to your phone
3. After installation is finished go to your inbox
4. Hit Menu at the lower-right hand side
5. Go down until you see "Pics/Video Options" and select it.
6. Save sent messages should be checked and nothing else!
Retrieve Mode: Auto
Photo resolution: Original
7. Hit the Servers Tab and click on the "Alltell MMSC" that displays on the big box. Make sure these settings are correct!
Server Name: Alltel MMSC
Gateway: mms.alltel.com
Port Number: 8080
Server Address: http://mms.alltel.com/servlets/mms
Connect Via: The Internet (havnt tried it in Alltel Wireless)
Send Limit: 950k

8. Hit Done
9. Shutdown your phone
10. Start your phone..DONE!!

ok this is going to sound weird, but i did every step that u have suggested. and yes i recieve pictures and i can even send them, but my problem comes when i recieve a mms. i get the picture and i can view it but i get a notification saying that the pic/video message cant be downloaded


what can i do to stop this notification

I have a touch pro and am running a different rom. The rom supports MMS, but it's greyed out as an option to send a picture, it only gives me email as an option. So, I decided to install this cab. Instead of it being greyed out, I know have the MMS option (Picture message or video message), but when I receive a photo or send a photo it says "Unable to Send. Unable to Retreive. Retry?" Alas, to no avail, I can't seem to get it to work. I made sure that the ports, gateway, etc were all set correctly as well.

Any suggestions?

I have been doing this with every rom, sorry I didnt post the cab earlier, but I always have to uninstall the mms first. Heres the uninstall mms cab. then use the cab above to install mms. then your pictures should be normal size.

Oh, its because most of these roms are based off of sprint. hardly anyone uses a Alltel rom/kitchen.

I'm using the touch pro as well.. I've been desperate to get mms working on my cell.. currently using mighty rom and tried calkulins arcsoft and could receive pictures although they were small but could not send whatsoever. this method doesn't work for me either and if anyone has found a solution for the touch pro preferably with mighty rom send me a pm or something with detailed instructions on that solution. thanks

I had the hardest time getting my mms to work properly but I have a fix for ya!

Each of these cabs are numbered.
Install 1. then reboot, install 2. then reboot, and do the same for 3. and 4. This should clear it all up...

do you know if your fix works for the latest touch pro energy rom?

I assume the rom is irrelevant.

I am also will Alltel. If I send a mms, I get a garbled text message back and an error.

It appears to have worked (at least on my Alltel touch pro).
