Boot splash screen text

Not sure if this is the right place for it so I apologize in advance...

Is there any way at all to cook a string of text to appear on the boot splash screen?

That way I can change the image and not have to worry about editing to add the text.

Just started playing with this...any help is appreciated.

Not real sure what you are asking. What are you trying to do?

Basically I want to be able to change welcomehead192.png to whatever I want but would like to have a string of text remain on the bottom (or top) of the screen without having to put that string of text in the welcomehead file...

Hope this clarifies it a bit.

I don't think you can since it uses the PNG image.

The has to be a place where you can do this. Calkulin has it cooked into his kitchen that no matter what splash screen you insert it says its from his kitchen in red at the bottom of the screen.
