Does Chome editor suck or is it just me?

no matter what rom or build from 3 chefs, I can't get C home editor to do anything to the titanium home screen.
I've tried with and without the 'windows default' checked in the today settings screen and it semms to make no difference.
tried making the clock the 4th item (read somewhere) but that doesn't help.

I want to use Clinks I think it was to build my own pannel, but last time I didi it was back in may on groove rom 5 and now I can't seem to get anywhere! :?:

any advice?
Do I need another editor?

I always use Titanium customizer ... wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

I just download the cab you posted and it turns out I already had it in my cabs folder, guess I hadn't used it though.
I'll try it out now.

Titanium costomizer works to turn ono and off and change the order of the panes, thanks again for the tip.
CLinks doesn't show though... might be because there's nothing edited into it yet.

Now I need to reliably edit what is in the panes.
I'm sure I used CHomeConfig before, but it doesn't seem to work right now.
EDIT:
may have been ROM specific issue or operator error ;) but CHomeConfig now works well for building pages into panes.
