Flashing from comp vs from storage?
This is my first time flashing my diamond and I am a bit scared, I was wondering which method is better for a first timer? I was also wondering which rom offers the best battery life? I just cant seem to decide they all look so good..:spin:

id flash from the comp. thats what i did when i first got my diamond. |
Re: Flashing from comp vs from storage?
Since its your first time you should flash with the computer, make sure you read the How To: Unlocking guide first.
I suggest you try out a few of the ROMs here, and stick with the one you like best. |

Re: Flashing from comp vs from storage?
I flash from both. I find it handy to download to the storage card while at work and flash from the storage card, or to copy a different of my rom depending on my needs. (a SPB MobileShell or Rhodium)... Or I can can flash from my laptop at home. It's a personal preference really...
And moved to the HTC Diamond forum. |
Re: Flashing from comp vs from storage?
I was also wondering if i flash the energy rom would it affect my radio? My service provider is telus.

Re: Flashing from comp vs from storage?
I don't believe energy rom changes the radio, I've had everything from the telus rom to all sorts of custom roms on my sprint diamond. Just be sure to always flash back to your shipped roms before flashing to another custom rom. I use energy rom myself and its good. I'd stick with the fast and stable though, 6.5.1 doesn't seem quite there yet, still a bit unstable. I played with it for an hour or 2 and it had some nasty freazes. 6.5 used to run like crap on my phone but now its fine so it'll get there.

Re: Flashing from comp vs from storage?
Thx for the fast reply. I just flashed my diamond, and EnergyRom is great. Which rom gives you optimal battery life?
