Diamond Power Save Mode

I work underground every once in a while and there is no reception. My Diamond appears to keep searching for signal and wastes a ton of battery.
I used to have phones that would "shut down" the radio for some time if there was no reception to conserve power.
Is there a "power save mode" or something similar for the Diamond that would prevent it from killing battery when there is no reception?

Thanks.

Re: Diamond Power Save Mode

There's no auto power save mode unfortunately. You could just go to Comm Manager and manually switch to airplane mode during the time you have no reception.

Re: Diamond Power Save Mode

I made this cab file to install an exe that I found a long time ago (I think in the rlToday Dev Kit) that toggles the radio on and off (ie killing all radio communication including network searching). I also made it add a shortcut into the program list for easy access.
Enjoy,

Thanks.
I guess I'm stuck with manual switching.
I was really hoping the phone would be intelligent enough to figure that one out. So much for a smart phone

Crazy how the more these devices do for us ... the more we want them to do. Human nature, I guess ...

Agreed.
Although, in this case I want it to do something that my phone did 5 years ago. Go figure...
