i have an htc diamond from alltel and it hasnt been activated for cricket but i got the instructions on how to flash it but when i put in the prl for cricket i either get verizon's message or nothing at all when i dial *228. how i can i fix it so itll get cricket's signal?

call cricket and activate it. when you do *228 (given you have correct 1x prl for your area) it programs your phone for current evdo prl for roaming or non roaming accounts, sets up your pst settings, and sets device to the phone number cricket gave you. if you haven't ste up your phone with cricket, they don't know who you are, or what they should do with your phone.

oh alright well i live in chicago illinois can you tell me which prl to use for my area ? and so after i put the correct prl i should call cricket and activate it? thanks in advance

*22807 works sometimes when *228 won't. Just a helpful tip

coralada.com/prl has what you need. find the list of non-evdo prls and go thru them one by one til the 1x prl lets *228 do a full over-the-air program without hanging up on you. when it completes it will reset your device and set most of your pst settings AND install the evdo prl for your area. whether you have regular account or roaming account will determan which evdo prl is installed.

download all 1x prl and put on sd card
step 1) ##778# enter your msl of 000000
atep 2) press view info and select prl
step 3) edit prl will bring list of 1x prls from sd card, choose one
step 4) press "ok" top left and let device reset
step 5) dial *228
if it fails to program delete that prl off sd card and start from step 1
once you find the 1x prl that does full program delete all other 1x prls off your card and keep the one that worked.

this works for all areas
