Data Connection Gone!! Please Help *Fixed*
 

Ive been running a sprint diamond on verizon for atleast a year now with zero problems untill a few days ago. All of a sudden i am no longer able to connect to evdo data it keeps trying to connect over and over untill finally defaulting to 1x. I have done a hard reset and still the same. Anyone experience something similar and know a fix?

yes, but if you are with verizon. I am not sure if you can do much other than calling them to tech the phone. since flashing the shipped rom will just put sprint data back on your phone. the other fixes like flashing shipped, checking your evdo is enabled through settings, etc are more Sprint specific I believe. the other thing is they may have a data outage, just happened to me with Sprint and they didn't fix it for 2 weeks... was at my work site but I called and called until they put in a trouble ticket and checked it finally. good luck.

The data outage deffinitly isnt it because i am with two other verizon users whos data is working fine. I have flashed back to stock sprint before flashing custom roms numerous times an never had an issue like this. I have also checked that evdo is selected i have also tried the other settings and nothing. my evdo icon shows fine phone works and texts but if i try to connect to data its a no go the 1x comes up and dosent go away after about a minute of trying to connect to evdo.

You COULD try calling VZW, saying you have an HTC unbranded CDMA diamond they activated for you a year ago or w/e, and that you're having problems.

Not responsible if they find out though ;)

Well called verizon an talked to an idiot like usual after him not knowing what unbranded was i finally broke down and just said sprint diamond. Got put on hol for about 20 min made it to level 3 tech support and got told it was impossible that i ever had a sprint phone on verizon omg!!. Racked my brain trying to think of a fix and finally decided why not try to updte the prl and what do you know fixed!!! only downside is now the roaming triangle is back but i can live with that aslong as i have data again.

Changing to home only gave me no service at all.

Im sure i will be fine anyway because from what i remember when i first did it even though it shows the roaming triangle im not actually roaming i used the 51056.prl. I could be mistaken but i think its because of the verizon prl on a sprint radio.

You could try flashing the Telus radio. I'm willing to bet there is a Sprint data settings somewhere. Another thought is (IDK if Verizon does this) you don't have an AKEY.
