VZW Diamond have open GPS yet?

Just wondering if Verizon wireless has opened up their GPS on the diamond. Come Oct.17th i'm VZ instead of Alltel and my current diamond is starting to have issue's with the screen....edges are not as sensitive and getting the "rainbow/oil on water" look. I want to get a replacement through warranty but it's $100 deductible and the paperwork I just received from VZ was that they do not have a deductible on their replacements, so that could save me money. Problem is if no open GPS i don't want their diamond....but if i talk to them about not getting the same functions that i was with old diamond you think they would upgrade me to a TP2?

Re: VZW Diamond have open GPS yet?

I doubt they would upgrade you to a TP2 but you could try getting a TP since there is open GPS and custom ROMs. But I think they got GPS working.
