Active Sync is dead and I've tried EVERYTHING
I moved a few weeks ago and tried syncing the other night for the first time since the move. Active Sync will not detect my Diamond and I've tried everything, and I mean EVERYTHING.
Things I've tried: Uninstalling and reinstalling Active Sync Hard Reset on phone Unchecking and checking advanced network functionality 3 different USB cables Reinstalling USB drivers and the big whammy.... Wiped my entire PC clean and restored it to the day it came out of the box. Does anybody have any idea what could be causing this? |

Do you still have your data on your phone? I'd upload everything to MyPhone through Microsoft.

well, it depends on the source of your issue : - PPC : go to start>>settings>>connectivity>>USBtoPC and disable advanced feature then soft reset. - PC issue : dl and try ActiveSyncToggle HERE http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/img/...synctoggle.gif ^^ |

What ROM do you have? If you are trying to flash another one I know MightyROM 6 had a bug in an older version that you couldn't pretty much use ActiveSync. If you flash the new version from bootloader that fixes it.

Re: Active Sync is dead and I've tried EVERYTHING
Hi,
so try another tweaker : ActiveTweak v1.3 which should work better i think (much more options) source : http://pocketpcapps.net/default.aspx launch runningAS >> Shutdown then restart maybe you could also delete partnership When the popup menu appears on your mobile, it's important to click on ActiveSync then ok (or ok directly if ActivSync is already checked) If it doesn't still work then try to uninstall ActiveSync and reboot your computer and re-install it ^^ |
Re: Active Sync is dead and I've tried EVERYTHING
What OS do you have on your PC?WindowsXP?If you have Vista or Windows7 you don't need to install Activesync on your PC you need to use Windows Mobile Device Center. Just saying in case you didn't know.Does anything happen when you connect your device to your PC? Maybe your USB port is bad. Unlikely , but possible.

Re: Active Sync is dead and I've tried EVERYTHING
When this happened to me on my mogul, I found out the port on my Mogul was bad (pins were reallly out of whack).
Try getting a USB dongle, backing up via USB, and then taking your phone to the Sprint store. Edit: DOh.... I meant Bluetooth Dongle for your computer. |
