Re: Must kill biotouch.exe !!
you can go to the "start up" folder in the Windows folder and delete it. I do this for voice command. Although, this is how you can kill it, I have no idea what it does.

Re: Must kill biotouch.exe !!
Biotouch is associated with Touchflo. On my Vogue it was basically for the cube. I edited it out of the registry which is what you would have to do to keep it from running. If you plan on using Touchflo3d DO NOT remove it! I removed it cause it freed up memory on my Vogue. I don't really see how it would improve battery life though.

Looks like it's a little more resilient than that. |

Do you know where in the registry one would edit to disable biotouch? |

Re: Must kill biotouch.exe !!
Well, like I said if you are NOT going to use Touchflo3d then you can remove it from the registry and it will not run but once you remove the registry strings it is gone for good unless you do a registry backup before you remove those strings so you can restore everything later. I recommend using PHM Regeditor and doing a backup first. Then just use the find/search function to search strings and values for Biotouch. It should be in HKLM/Software/Htc/Biotouch or something similar. If you use the find function you should find it fairly easily. Again, this will free up memory but if you ever plan on using the Touchflo3d interface DON'T remove it.

I don't use TF3D and don't anticipate doing so, but you never know. I use TotalCommander for reg edits, but it doesn't seem to offer backup capabilities. Maybe I'll try PHM. |

Re: Must kill biotouch.exe !!
What I did to kill it without modifying the registry too much is to go to hkcu\software\htc\bootlauncher\apps\touchflo
I then changed the file name to \windows\StartupBiotouch1.exe instead of \windows\StartupBiotouch.exe This prevents it from loading since that file doesn't exist. I haven't noticed any ill effects from doing this. Then again I'm on MS3. |
