AssassinsLament at xda has put together a nice, updated HTC Comm Manager. This one has the HTC wifi sharing built into it and the settings can be accessed via the comm manager. You can read about it here and I've attached the most recent cab.

WMWiFiRouter is sweet and well worth the $30.
Although I have not tried the WiFi application posted.

I just tried it on my CDMA Diamond and it works great! My iPod touch saw the hotspot right away! entered the WEP key and away I went!
