Unlocking/New ROM Issues

I did the steps above, got the screen that says Serial, but once I plug it in, nothing happens.

Its basically once that screen is there, no connection to PC. I will try another computer if I can.

I ended my partnership with the phone in Windows Mobile Device Center, and used another USB Cable and it worked, not sure which one made a difference.
