MTS Carrier Cab

Hi Guys!

Ok so I made some progress into finding what I need. Apparently I need something called a Carrier Authentication file (or Carrier cab), in a .cab format which will change the settings on my phone so it authenticates with MTS. The person I spoke to about this has a HTC Tytn Telus phone, and he said he has both a Telus and Alltel cab so he can switch back and forth when he goes to the states. Now my problem being MTS doesn't have this file and he didn't have it since he's with Telus.

So I'm hoping someone on MTS can backup theirs and PM it to me, or attach it to this forum. Anyone able to help me out?

Thanks so much!

EDIT: Renamed thread to better reflect what I need

Re: MTS Carrier Authentication File

bump

I'd give instructions on how to get the file from the phone, but I have no idea. I can't even seem to find the other carrier authentication files.

Re: MTS Carrier Authentication File

MTS carries the Diamond only no TP. Maybe you could check the diamond forums?

I am also interested in an MTS carrier cab if anyone has

Re: MTS Carrier Authentication File

MTS?
Never heard of that carrier.
Are they part of a larger company?
If you find out you can probably get that carrier cab in one of the rom threads in the Diamond Upgrades Forum.

Re: MTS Carrier Authentication File

MTS is a private company in Manitoba, Canada only. They were partnered with Bell Canada up until like June of this year, and were using their phones. I've already tried two Bell cabs, with no success so I'm still looking for an MTS cab.

I might end up just buying a MTS Diamond to copy all the info from it.

If you originally got your phone from MTS, or probably even Bell you wouldn't of needed one.

But the problem is: MTS cannot provision my phone for data because it's coming up on their network as an 'other' phone and not an HTC Diamond.

Their reason: "We don't have the 'ship' file for the phone." I say this is BS considering that one guy was able to activate his Sprint Touch Pro on MTS, which MTS doesn't even sell.

So I have a feeling I'm missing something on my phone, which I've been told these carrier cabs are what I'm looking for. Personally I think it has to do with the PST programming on the phone, considering they didn't bother to program the HDR or PPP username/passwords, let alone any of the M.IP information.

So if you could PM me what yours is, I can probably extrapolate what my settings should be and go from there.

Thanks
