Screen Broken

Gang,

I've been doing some searching around and my Diamond is broke. The screen has some watery look to it and my warranty is void because the indicator is red for water damage but it just happened last night somehow. It has a little rectangle of where it looks like water got under the screen or something and I think it's where the screen is seperating from the touch sensitive area.

I think I would like to fix it myself because the phone still works fine otherwise. Any ideas? Is this something I can probably repair myself?

Re: Screen Broken

sorry to hear that bro, my own opinion, i would play with it instead take to your local alltel store to see what they could do for you, because it wasn't intentional ,is the phone that is malunctioning ....

i seem a lot of feedback lately about diamonds and touch pro breaking and malfunctioning... thanks god i sold mine...

Re: Screen Broken

1) I have Alltel. They won't replace it under warranty because of the water damage indicator which is retarded.
2) I love my phone but I think it just decided "oh I'm gonna break."
3) If I can't fix it I'm gonna get a new one when the money does come in.

Re: Screen Broken

Bump. Any more ideas? I have thought of ordering a P3700 screen and trying to fix it myself but would that even work? Has anyone attempted this?

Re: Screen Broken

I have the same problem....except mine is cracked...and just found out that insurance will not cover it and I am forced to either use phone as is or try and self fix....

Re: Screen Broken

Hmm I see I never reported back on this thread. Well I ended up having to do insurance after deciding it wasn't worth the hastle.

Buffalo: There is a PCM Communications in Happauge (spelling) NY that I think does repairs for HTC that they may be able to help you. IDK.

http://cgi.ebay.com/LCD-Touch-Screen...d=p3286.c0.m14
